To Be Alive Oil on Cotton African Mask Batik Collage from Ghana Tintsaba Gemstones are knotted by handGhanaian artist Emmanuel Atiemoh Yeboah designs and creates this beautiful piece of artwork using a variety of media and methods. Yeboah creates the likeness of an African mask on calico cloth, a rustic, unrefined cotton fabric. Then, a blend of oil paint and batik patterns is applied to cardstock in a ceiba wood frame, achieving a multi layered, dimensional and eye catching piece of artwork that reflects the culture and vivid colors of West Africa.
